Here’s something most guests figure out too late: the Serenity Club floors (53rd and above) aren’t just about the lounge access. You get a dedicated elevator bank, a private check-in on the 53rd floor, and the evening canapés are substantial enough to replace dinner. The real hidden gem is the Banyan Tree Spa’s Rainforest experience — a hydrotherapy circuit with steam rooms, saunas, and vitality pools that’s included with any 90-minute treatment. Most visitors go straight for a Thai massage and miss it entirely.

  • All-suite hotel with the largest standard rooms in its class — every unit starts at 56 sqm with separate living areas
  • Vertigo and Moon Bar rooftop on the 61st floor — one of Bangkok’s most iconic rooftop dining and cocktail experiences
  • Award-winning Banyan Tree Spa spanning an entire floor with traditional Thai and modern wellness treatments
  • Stunning outdoor pool deck on the 22nd floor with panoramic city views and a relaxing sundeck atmosphere. The pool never feels overcrowded since it’s exclusively for hotel guests — no day passes here. Morning laps before 8 AM come with views of the sunrise over Lumphini Park, and poolside food service is faster than most Bangkok hotel pools.
  • Excellent location between Sala Daeng BTS and Lumphini MRT with easy access to Silom nightlife and Lumphini Park

  • The hotel’s classic luxury style may feel dated compared to newer properties — if you prefer ultra-modern design, consider the Park Hyatt Bangkok
  • Premium pricing puts it among Bangkok’s most expensive options — for similar luxury at a lower price point, Anantara Siam Bangkok offers great value
  • The Sathorn location is slightly removed from major shopping malls — Siam Paragon and CentralWorld require a BTS ride of 3-4 stops from Sala Daeng, roughly 15 minutes door to door. That said, the hotel shuttle runs to Sala Daeng BTS every 20 minutes, and the Sathorn neighborhood itself has excellent local dining along Soi Convent and Silom Soi 19.
  • Vertigo rooftop bar enforces a strict dress code — no shorts, sandals, or sleeveless tops for men — and can have 45-minute waits without a reservation on Friday and Saturday nights. Book through the concierge at check-in for same-day availability, which is much easier than trying to call directly.
  • Some suites on lower floors have limited views due to surrounding high-rise buildings — request a high floor for the full experience

  • Sala Daeng BTS Station — 10-minute walk or a short hotel shuttle ride, connecting you to all major BTS destinations
  • Lumphini MRT Station — 10-minute walk, providing access to the MRT Blue Line for Chinatown and riverside areas
  • Lumphini Park — 5-minute walk to Bangkok’s premier green space, ideal for morning jogs and evening relaxation
  • Silom & Patpong Night Market — within walking distance for street food, nightlife, and local shopping experiences
  • Blue Elephant Restaurant — a 10-minute walk down Sathorn Road, this Michelin-starred Thai restaurant in a stunning colonial mansion is worth booking for a special evening out
